Over 25,000 lives impacted by our services

In our most recent Annual Report, we highlight our work during the 2022-23, including distribution of supports and services to over 3500 individuals; addressing the challenges of New Haven Unified School District students, at potential by providing expanded day and summer programs for nearly 800 students from migrant, unhoused, and lower income households; providing health services including hosting pop-up clinics for vaccinations and boosters; and addressing food insecurity by distributing more than half-million pounds of produce to over 400 households monthly.

Multiple Grants Awarded for 2022-23
We are proud to have been awarded two local private foundation grants, a city-distributed community development block grant, and regional funding through COVID relief and other initiatives.
Our impact has been recognized by multiple agencies, organizations, and funders including the civil grand jury report from Alameda County . We have had more than 15 Local Education Agencies visit the center to learn how to replicate our model in their communities.

2022, Classified Leader of the Year
Jennifer Hawkins, UCFC Coordinator
was awarded the 2022 Classified Leader of the Year by ACSA Region 6. She has been at the Family Center since 2014, and the Coordinator since 2021.

2021 Partners in Excellence Award , Union City Family Center was provided this honor for its work with families and communities.
In 2019, we were identified as the largest Alameda County Community Food Bank School Pantry Distribution Program.
